Born on 25 November 1968, Jillian Shennessy was a dynamic Canadian performer and actress who has been praised for her significant contribution for American television. She is renowned for her impressive performances on the American television series Law & Order where she impressed viewers for three seasons as the prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan wherein she played the protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy has also showcased her talents in films like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. In addition, she produced and wrote these movies. Her acting career started in 1988 when she and her sister played twin characters in Dead Ringers. She appeared briefly in Buddy The Buddy Holly Story The Buddy Holly Story on Broadway in the year 1990. It was 1993 when the actress made her way out of musicals, and into the genre of sci-fi as Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the same year, she became an assistant prosecutor Claire Kincaid in the hit NBC Crime Drama Law & Order. This character captivated viewers for three seasons, until she left it in 1996. Parker is famous for her roles in films or series, as well as TV shows like RED Fried Green Tomatoes Boys by the Side and The West Wing Angels of America. The actress was awarded an award for her performance in the series a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress and an Emmy Award. Parker was awarded an award in 2001, the Tony Award as Best Actress at the Broadway Show Proof.
